Stan dropped the Warhawk until its
under-surfaces were skimming the
ground.

It was a jolt to the three members of Red Flight when they were transferred from the jungles of the South Pacific to the desert wastes of North Africa . . . but they took it in their stride. They arrived just in time to be caught in an Axis offensive that smashed deep into the Yank lines and threatened disaster to the Americans.

Bill O'Malley picked a renegade plane marked for dismantling, and promptly fell in love with the P-40 Warhawk. No one else had been able to fly her. O'Malley not only flew the Colleen but he made flying history while doing it.

With Stan Wilson and March Allison battling savagely wing to wing with the wild Irishman, the three wrote their names large in the smoke-filled skies over Tunisia.

Mr. Avery has written another story of breathtaking combat as fast-paced and exciting a yarn as any air-minded reader could wish for.
